The workshop
Solnichki is a small workshop in Bulgaria, run by two people. Ani sculpts and paints every figurine by hand. Viktor takes the orders, talks with customers, and packs every box before it goes to the courier. No bosses, no production line, no middlemen.
Why salt shakers
Salt and pepper sit on every Bulgarian table. Every day, several times a day. Not shelf decoration you look at once and forget. The idea is that the small object you hold in your hand could be the face of someone you love. A wedding, an anniversary, a birthday, a memorial. The mother who is no longer here. The dog that grew old. A friend's first child.
Why by hand
Polymer clay is shaped with fingers, over a wire armature. Every shaker goes through an oven, then under a fine brush, layer over layer. That is why an order takes six days. Not because we are slow, but because there is no other way for it to look like the person, rather than like an approximation of them.
What comes next
For now we work only in Bulgaria. Prices, shipping, language, company registration. Everything is local. When we grow enough, we will open an international version. Until then, if you write us from abroad, we will tell you when we are ready.
